Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Southport, QLD

The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre is a world class swimming facility located within the Broadwater Parklands at Southport. The centre has been chosen as the swimming and diving venue for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. The aquatic centre has recently undergone a $35M upgrade.

Project Design Brief

The installation of cable pits were to cope with the vast amount of electrical and communication infrastructure required to broadcast the Commonwealth Games events in 2018. The pits needed to enclose television, radio, lighting, power and CCTV cables and be secure, to prevent access by unauthorised personnel.
