Cronulla Town Centre - Cronulla, NSW

The Sutherland Shire Council undertook a major redevelopment of the Cronulla Town Centre and Town Square, delivering a revitalised public space designed to enhance community engagement and convenience. The upgrade included a new performance area, public amenities, quality paving, seating, lighting, mature trees and landscaped garden beds, creating an attractive and functional civic destination for residents and visitors.

Project Design Brief

With premium stone paving specified throughout the redevelopment, designers sought to minimise the visual impact of the manhole covers within the public realm. New services were required to support upgraded lighting, communications and CCTV systems, necessitating the installation of multiple access pits across the site. Pit covers were required to provide safe, durable access while blending seamlessly with the surrounding pavement finishes to maintain the aesthetics of the precinct.
