Yanchep Active Open Space Playground - Yanchep, WA
The City of Wanneroo recently committed funding to redevelop Yanchep Active Open Space Parkland. The upgraded parkland features two multi-purpose ovals, two hard courts for netball, basketball, and tennis, new cricket nets, long jump and discus pits. Supporting facilities include a playground and a large multipurpose building with sports areas and meeting rooms.
Project Design Brief
The project required multiple service cable pits across the site to house cables for communications and data, lighting, power, and CCTV services. Pits were required to have high mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and water-impermeable properties. Slip resistant lids were also needed for pedestrian safety with the capability to be upgraded one day to higher security levels.
